Crown Hotel Wedding Photographer – Emma and Matt – Sneak Peek

Crown Hotel Wedding Photographer – Emma and Matt – Sneak Peek

Today saw the wedding of Emma and Matt at the Crown Hotel in Blandford, Dorset. After weeks of rain we had some sunshine! What a great day and what wonderful people! We managed to get to the river for some wedding photographs which after recent floods was brilliant. We even saw some swans and cygnets!

Congratulations Emma and Matt! and see you when you get back from Honeymoon.

Lulworth Castle Wedding Photographer – Nicky and Andrew

Lulworth Castle Wedding Photographer – Nicky and Andrew

Lulworth Castle is situated in rural Dorset and is a stunning venue. I’ve photographed weddings here before. Nicky and Andrew (Lofty) both made me feel so welcome and it was an honour to be asked to photograph their wedding. They are both such great warm people. Remember that big fiery ball in the sky? You might remember the sun? it made an appearance for the whole day for Nicky and Andrew.
We started off and the Springfield hotel – no Homer Simpson here though. Andrew had an awesome wedding ring. It was black.. not carbon fibre either.
The ceremony was at Lulworth Castle, it’s a great wedding venue, and I love going back there. It’s such a light venue and the ceremony was over in a flash with a very emotional Nicky. Then everyone went out onto the lawn for games, drinks and fun! Soon people were being called back into the hall for the wedding breakfast. The room had been awesome decorated and there was a brilliant white chocolate cake courtesy of choccywoccydoodah (more on this later), it looked fabulous with some brilliant touches.
I used this time to download some images taken so far and have a little break and some food, thanks to the Nicky and Andrew and the staff at Lulworth castle for sorting me out with some delicious food.
Before I knew it the speeches were underway. Some very heartfelt speeches with Nicky giving a short speech too, some of the best I’ve heard in a while too. Next was the cake cutting, here is where we had an interesting occurance, after the cake had been cut it made a leap for freedom and hit the wall of the castle (which was just about OK). After a stunned silence both Nicky and Andrew saw the funny side and the partying continued.
I’m assured that the first dance didn’t involve any dance lessons, but, all I will say is that it was very smooth 🙂

What a day! Thanks so much to Andrew and Nicky for letting me photograph your wedding and your wedding gallery is now live 🙂

I was excited to get the post today. Why? Because a sample album from the Crown Hotel arrived, it was Charlie and Emma’s wedding at the Crown Hotel which you can see the sneak peak of. As you can see from my lego friends helping model the album this is the parent/pocket sized version. Stay tuned for some more sample images from my new samples due any day now.

If you’re getting married at the Crown Hotel then why not get in contact and ask me about your wedding photography, special offers are available.

Weymouth Landscape Photographer – Lasers

Weymouth Landscape Photographer – Lasers

I was in Weymouth recently and I’d heard about the Lasers on the seafront. I’ve done a bit of Landscape photography so I thought I’d see if I could get some images of the Lasers. I only have my Panasonic GX1 and a couple of lenses, and no tripod, luckily I had a timer and a stable platform to rest the camera on. I have to say the Weymouth landscape looked pretty cool with lasers shining out to sea. Timing wise it was good – in between heavy rain and before the Olympics 🙂

Here are a couple of my favourites.

Orangery Wimborne Wedding Photographer – Andy and Jo

Orangery Wimborne Wedding Photographer

Today saw me at the Orangery in Wimborne to assist Tim Churchill again at the wedding of Andy and Jo. I love second shooting, and today was no exception. Andy and Jo’s wedding was brilliant. There were so many unique factors. There was a horse, a Ferrari and a vintage rolls royce. There was also crazy golf, netball, badminton, table tennis and chess for the guests to play amongst other things, and also some table football. The wedding ceremony was held inside the main room, with the wedding breakfast held in the marquee outside. The orangery suite is a wedding photographers dream with so many locations and beautiful backdrops. Jo and Andy were up for a laugh too which is always a bonus.

There were so many great photographs from today so I struggled to pick my favourite. However the horse wins it (by a nose) so I’ll leave you with a photograph of Jo with her wonderful horse.
