Tudor Grange Bournemouth Wedding Photographer – Kate and Lee – Sneak peek

Tudor Grange Bournemouth Wedding Photographer

Today saw me at Tudor Grange Hotel in Bournemouth to start the Wedding of Kate and Lee in Bournemouth. It was a little different start to the day with me meeting Lee and not Kate to do prepartions. After some fun in the Tudor Grange Gardens we headed off to the awesome church where we quite possible had the best priest ever! He was one cool dude! Of coure Lee and his best man and groomsmen were pretty cool too after recently getting back from a stag do from foreign climbs that involved mountains and biking. On with the day. The sun was shining Katy was looking awesome and everyone was in a real party mood. In fact that summed up the whole day! Love, fun, Party and more Love!

Here’s a sneak peek from Bournemouth Beach and congratualtions mr and mrs smith (not the film)!

See you soon!

Burley Manor Hotel Wedding Photographer – Documenting the day

I was at Burley Manor Hotel today photographing a wedding with my colleague Tim. Fridays are good day for weddings as you can get some great venues at great prices. I’ve photographed at Burley Manor Hotel before and always enjoy coming back. We’d started the day at St. Aldhelms church in Parkstone, Poole. The bridesmaids arrived early with Victoria arriving after a short delay. The service was lovely with mention of airplanes and aviation (a shared interest of the vicar and Stuart (the groom).
From the service it was on to Burley Manor Hotel in Burley, Hampshire. This is a great venue and I’m always happy when I get to photograph a wedding there everything is so relaxed. Being second shooter with Tim gives me the chance to do the documentary wedding photography that I love. Here’s a selection from the day.

Cams Hall Wedding Photographer – Amy and Chris

Cams Hall Wedding Photographer – Amy and Chris

Cams Hall was my wedding venue this Saturday to photograph the wedding of Amy and Chris. After some reception drinks and canapes we then went to HMS Collingwood for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. It was a beautiful day for a wedding! I met Chris through his brother Richard. I had photographed Richard’s wedding when he married Stephanie (congratulations on your news btw) a couple of years ago so it was lovely to catch up with everyone again for this wedding.

Cams Hall is a brilliant venue and it’s a good wedding photography venue (where i hope to photograph a lot more weddings in the future). Amy had 7 bridesmaids (and a flower girl); so she wasn’t short of some help getting ready. When I arrived it was time for some pizza and champagne for the girls whilst relaxing before the wedding ceremony.

I’m not going to say too much more as this is only a little preview and I’ll save something to say with the full wedding.

I had a brilliant day and I can’t wait to get stuck into editing the rest of the wedding.

Of course I can’t let it go by saying that there was a hog roast in the evening – and I’m partial to a bit of bacon – so of course had to stay behind for this.

The party was in full swing when I left, after I’d done a big group photograph by the Christmas tree and we’d done the bouquet toss and the first dance! (Don’t worry you haven’t missed the summer – it’s not Christmas yet)

Many thanks to the staff at both Cams Hall and HMS Collingwood for looking after me to well. And I hope to see you all again soon! Until then Happy days!

Lastly Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Cole (Second time i’ve said that) and enjoy your honeymoon – it sounded amazing! Cannot wait to see some pictures 🙂

Enjoy!

Crown Hotel Dorset Wedding Photographer – Emma and Matt

Crown Hotel Dorset Wedding Photographer – Emma and Matt

Crown Hotel Dorset Wedding Photography – I love weddings at the Crown Hotel in Blandford, it’s my local wedding venue so I know it well. When Emma first came along and told me about her wedding I knew it was going to be a brilliant day! Even though in the weeks before the wedding we had floods of epic proportions the day of the wedding was glorious sunshine and we even managed to venture out onto the meadows near to the Crown Hotel.

The day started with me going up to see Emma in her room at the Crown Hotel, as usual things were running behind schedule. Francesca was great and very laid back reassuring Emma that everything was fine. I used this time to get some unposed reportage style wedding photographs of the getting ready. I also took some reportage photographs of Matt who seemed to be doing everyone’s cravats up!

Then it was time for a few photos of Emma, her sister and mother before the ceremony. Matt was relaxed as ever waiting for Emma to arrive. I love the walk down the aisle – always such great expressions. The ceremony was lovely with some great readings too! Always helps people relax.

After the ceremony I let Matt and Emma relax whilst i just captured the natural and relaxed fun photographs of people enjoying the wedding. It was awesome. Then before the meal I sneaked Emma and Matt away for 10 minutes to go for a walk and get some time alone for the first time since being man and wife! This is always a great time to get some fun and relaxed portraits of the couple and Matt and Emma were no exception. We even managed a mini homage to the beatles and abbey road with a black and white photo of them crossing a zebra crossing.

It was then onto the wedding breakfast and some great wedding speeches. Again great to photograph some reactions and there were some tears during the speeches. After the speeches the evening reception started and then wedding photobooth was a great hit! Then before long it was time for the first dance and the party proper to kick off!

What an awesome day! What an awesome wedding and an awesome couple. Thanks to Matt and Emma for choosing me to share there wedding day and also to the crown hotel for looking after me so well.

If you’re getting married at the crown then why not get in touch and ask me about your wedding photography?

Tyrrells Ford Country Inn – Dorset Wedding Photographer – Jonathan and Katy

This weekend saw me assisting my colleague Tim again, we were in the New Forest this weekend and at Tyrrells Ford Country Inn – a great venue in the heart of the new forest, not too far from Ringwood in Hampshire. Though it being a rural wedding I felt at home as much as I do in Dorset. Katy and Jonathan’s was a relaxed wedding, starting off the baptist church in Milton-on-Sea. There was a lovely projection of photographs before the service.

Katy arrived at the wedding in a brilliant old VW Camper van – decorated with ribbons and tinted windows. It was very colourful indeed. The weather was brilliant too. There was a musical theme running throughout the day, with a barber shop band doing some tunes during the service and a wind ensemble playing during the signing of the register. After the service we went along the cliffside road near Christchurch before heading back to Tyrrells Country Inn for the Brass band to greet Katy and Jonathan (who are both brass band aficionado’s). In fact Katy even played a couple of pieces whilst Jonathan conducted. It’s great that Jonathan’s son also played music during the service too.

We were also treated to some flypasts from some jets as it was Bournemouth air festival this weekend too. You might see one sneak into the selection of photographs below 🙂
Thanks to Katy and Jonathan for having me along and also thanks to Tim for allowing me to second shoot and share some images. I always have such fun, and I love sharing some slightly different photographs from the day. Can’t wait to see Tim’s.
