What a wonderful wedding Ross and Pip had at botleigh grange in southampton. It was wet, but, that didn’t stop Pip and Ross from having a glorious wedding in Hampshires Southampton, not far from where I went to university.

The relaxed Kingston Country Courtyard wedding of Emma and Rob

Another summers day and another fabulous wedding – I’m a lucky boy at the moment with so many fabulous weddings to photograph. Emma and Rob’s was no exception to this rather delightful rule.

We started off at Kingston country courtyard and didn’t have to go anywhere so I was able to go between Emma and Rob to get both sides of the story without having to travel more than 10 meters 🙂

When I first arrived I was greeted by Emma and her entourage of Bridesmaids I could tell that I was going to have a fun day with the banter already, and one of the bridesmaids even became my impromptu assistant later on after informing me of her artistic shoe photo that she’s taken before my arrival.. no pressure then 🙂 I didn’t tell her the value of the camera she was using.. she might have been a bit nervous 🙂

Emma looked absolutely stunning in her beautiful dress and her bridesmaids complimented her perfectly with their lace bridesmaids dresses. You’ll see more of those in the photos later.

I’ve photographed many weddings at Kingston Country Courtyard before, however this was my first outdoor one and the weather was perfect for us if not a little on the hot side!

After a wonderful ceremony it was on to the reception drinks and some formal photos, I love doing a few formal photos as this is a great chance to get some nice pictures of people you only see at weddings, obviously you don’t want to spend hours doing them, but 15-20 minutes gives you plenty of time to get the important ones. I’m always happy to do impromptu ones throughout the day as it’s often the only time people dress up haha.

I’d been pre-warned about a hog-roast too and I am almost an official hog roast wedding photography. I love hog roasts and I love photographing hog roasts at weddings. Did I mention I like hog-roasts? 😀 😀 Did I mention the time I came second in the great british bacon off?

Anyway back to the wonderful wedding of Rob and Emma. There were some heartfelt speeches and also some tears from many, it was definitely emotional.. even the cake was in tiers 😀 😀

After the wonderful hog roast and the delicious purbeck ice cream it was party time and I also took Rob and Emma away for some wonderful evening portraits. Summer is great for wedding photography, you get some awesome weather and some gorgeous light. At least when it’s sunshine 🙂

I love photographing weddings at Kingston country courtyard as the staff are so bloomin helpful and polite, one of my favourite local wedding venues for sure!

I met another new entertainer this weekend too James Brown a professional opportunist.. not a burglar but a performer and entertainer with a street magic vibe, James had the crowd in his thrall big time!

Then it was time for some partying and I knew the girls would know how to party – some amazing dance skills going on which was great for photography!

Finally I like to do some sunset photos before leaving to let people dance the night away!

Rhinefield House Wedding – Senga and Greg have a wedding

I had the honour of being back at Rhinefield house hotel to photograph the wedding of Senga and Greg recently. Senga is the sister of Sian who’s wedding I’d photographed quite some time ago (amazing how time flies). I saw one of my photos from Sian’s wedding the table plans it was quite nice to see too!
Anyway back to 2017 🙂 Senga and Greg are both great people and it was fun photographing this wedding, everyone made me feel at home and everyone was having a great time too. I think it’s nice when everyone just relaxs and enjoys the party that weddings can become.
We started off the day with Senga getting ready then back to St Saviours church in brockenhurst (where Sian had also got married). We then had a lovely service where I also met some guests who’d been at Gemma and Kieran’s wedding a couple of weeks previously completely by coincidence, so it’s nice to know I’m recommended by many people now 🙂

After the wedding service it was off to Rhinefield house, stopping off via the new forest to get some more portraits and avoid being eaten by the new forest ponies.. luckily we escaped mostly intact. There were some lovely grounds for portraits there and also to get lots of natural shots of guests laughing and enjoying themselves. 🙂

Then it was some great speeches and some great food, always a given at Rhinefield. All this was kept smoothly on track by my good toastmaster friend Mike Judd who always does an epic job of organising and keeping things on track!

Then before we knew it party time had arrived and we sneaked off for some more portraits before going back to the party!

What a fab day and thanks for having me along for the day!

Holme For Gardens Wedding – Keith and Diane get married!

Holme For Gardens Wedding – Keith and Diane get married!

I’d known Keith and Diane for a little while as I’d photographed his daughter Zoe’s weddingand Al’s wedding previously so it was an honour to be asked to be the wedding photographer for the parents wedding. What a relaxed wedding it was (with laminated itinerays which I’m told were drafts 🙂 🙂 )

I started off in the morning with Diane getting ready where I bumped into Tara again doing the makeup, along with bridesmaid and Daughter Kylie, before the two boys arrived ready to walk mum down the aisle/garden path.

It was my first time at Holme for Gardens but I need not worry as Polly from Blue bay events was sorting everything.

The venue looked amazing and I couldn’t wait to photograph the wedding! The weather was perfect, slightly overcast but warm and the wind even died down a little bit.

The wedding ceremony was beautiful and there was a hilarious moment with a haribo ring instead of a real one!

After the ceremony there was drinks on the beautiful lawn, some formal photos and then a few portraits. The clever team at Claret Catering were sorting out food which was an afternoon tea, the guests had also brought a lot of cakes which was a great idea and I can tell you it was delicious! Well worth a look at these guys for food I can tell you!

The rest of the day was over in a blur and I can’t wait to edit the rest of the photos!

A beautiful beaulieu new forest wedding at master builders hotel – Gemma and Kieran

What a great end to half term with the beautiful wedding of Gemma and Kieran at the Master builders hotel by the river in Beaulieu, hampshire in the heart of the new forest. We had some gorgeous weather and it was a very emotional day with gorgeous lush people.
The day started off with Gemma getting ready with her bridesmaids, the talented sugarpaint makeup doing all the makeup – not that the girls needed much help looking good. Then Kieran arrived with his entourage of groomsmen looking sharp!
Before we knew it then it was time for the ceremony and Jo Hicks Flowers did an amazing job of the bouquets and flowers on the day.
After an emotional ceremony it was time for the formal wedding photographs to help remember the day with some fun thrown in too. We then did a little wedding portrait photography session before the wedding breakfast. There were some heartfelt speeches and it was good to see the reactions too.
