Dorset Wedding Photographer – Engagment shoot with Marc and Leonie in Blandford – sneak peek

I first met up with Leonie and Marc in my studio in blandford where we had a great chat about their Bournemouth wedding in June. I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph it too – this is always a bonus!
So it was great to catch up with them both and have an engagement photoshoot together – I love doing engagement shoots as it allows us all to get used to each other a bit more and then discuss a bit more about how the wedding is going and generally get to know each other a bit better.
Marc and Leonie were both such great sports as we went for a walk under the old blandford railway bridge with graffiti and then over the bridge (no otters to be seen). Though I did see a couple who’s wedding I photographed a couple of years back in blandford (hi guys if you’re reading this!) who asked me to do a family photoshoot with them and max their dog (biiiig alsatian!). Anyway I digress (as usual), back to Marc and Leonie – the heroes of this story/photoshoot/sneak-peek!
So we went over the bridge, by the river, back over the river, even though the ground underfoot wasn’t super dry – but it was very warm and sunny which is awesome for march engagement photoshoots and i plan on ordering some more for June (less the less than dry floor). After the bridges we went back through the town and down the georgian passageway – this is an awesome little location! After this we went to the Blandford Town museum (yes there is a museum here!) for a shot in front of the doors.
Now when i was choosing the photograph from this engagement photoshoot this one jumped out at me… I originally processed it in colour – but then i though it would look AMAZING in black and white.. what do you think?

Anyway thats a lot of waffle – on with the sneak peak – and shortly on with the full shoot on the blog.

A Trip to the Tank Museum near Bovington with my Boy (Joseph)

One of the things I love about being a Wedding and Studio photographer in Dorset is that we’re spoiled with scenery and locations to shoot at. This Friday I took my little Joseph (who’s 4 soon) to the tank museum near bovington, dorset.

We had a great day out, my son loves tanks and playing with the little tables with all the men and tanks on and ‘army helicopters’ on as he calls them 🙂

The tank museum itself is great, lots of history there (and lots of tanks) – it’s well worth a visit if you have a tank fetish or a little boy who loves tanks (they all do at that age i think) – and as it’s a run as a charity you can gift aid your entrance fee and you get to go back as many times as you like for a year (this was our second visit already.

I am a Dorset wedding photographer based in blandford forum. I’m available for commissions throught the world.
