Victoria and Danny – Crown Hotel Wedding Photography

Victoria and Danny are both locals to Blandford, so when Victoria came into the studio and asked me to photograph her wedding I was only too please to say yes. After a fab preparations with Victoria and her family it was time to meet Danny at the Crown Hotel. Though before the wedding there was the surprise of Victoria coming to the ceremony by horse drawn cart with her father, so I couldn’t resist but go and take a photo of it in action. It was also the day of the world war 1 memorial passing of the steam engines. This explained why the route was lined with so many people with cameras, and there i was thinking that i was just popular.

After a fab ceremony it was time for a quick trip on the horse and cart with Victoria and Danny for some much needed time alone and some photographs. We then headed back to the crown hotel for some more fun photographs before it was time for the wedding breakfast.

Russel Cotes Museum Wedding Photographer – my first time at the russel cotes museum in the heart of bournemouth dorset. A superb new dorset wedding venue that I hope to work at again in the near future. I was shooting with the epic tim churchill who as usual took care of the formal side of things leaving me to concentrate on the documentary and candid photography that I love so much. The inside of the museum is stunning and the wedding ceremony was quite touching too.
You do of course have to be careful not to damage any of the great stuff around the museum and I couldn’t help but shoot a few panoramas to show you how brilliant it is inside. This is a great wedding venue if you like art and history. I have to admit that I didn’t know that this museum existed or offering wedding ceremonies. Now I do though it’s high on my list of venues to work at again.

A Vintage Wedding at Kings Hotel Christchurch – Ryan and Danni

Ryan and Danni got married at Christchurch Priory and then with the wedding reception at the Pavillion at Kings Hotel in Christchurch. I was once again starting with Groom preparations with Ryan at the nearby George pub (they do awesome burgers here). Whilst Tim was doing the hard job of photographing danni at the hotel. Christchurch priory is a stunning wedding venue and also has a cashpoint for donations, which always make me chuckle. Danni and her bridesmaids looked fabulous walking down the aisle, so much so that a random wedding guest decided to follow her down the aisle taking photos on her phone! After a fab service it was off for lawn games and pimms on the lawn of the Pavillion opposite Kings Hotel, it’s lovely here and was scorching hot so much was drank as a result. There was jenga, croquet, snakes and ladders and even bowling and a bean bag tossing game. Everyone was enjoying themselves a lot and luckily no-one got carried away with the giant balloons! I loved the attention to detail and all the button themes running throughout. It was very much a vintage button theme with proper buttonholes for all the guest through to the bunting, signage and individual postcards with scrabble name tags on. I was lucky enough to find one with my name on too! Danni also has some really cool wedding shoes with messages on the soles from the bridesmaids who all looked amazing! I mustn’t forget the giant letters with Danni’s and Ryans initials on too, they looked amazing too. The table setting were no less great. With napkins being put together with buttons again and there was also a raffle to end with. There were some great speeches too which went down very well. Thanks to Ryan and Danni for having me along for their vintage themed wedding, and thanks to Tim for having me along to help out – we’re the dorset dream team of photography.

Katie and Cian – Weymouth and Portland Wedding Photographer

Katie and Cian – Weymouth and Portland Wedding Photographer

Today saw me photograph the epic wedding of Katie and Cian across weymouth and portland. I started off at the ocean spa and hotel with a beautiful view of portland bill and just after the rain had stopped and the sun came out! Then is was off to see Katie getting ready in Weymouth before heading off to St Joseph’s Church in Weymouth for a wonderful ceremony with a fun father. We then stopped off at the portland heights and the olympic rings for some portraits and some group shots with the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

It was then off to the Portland and Weymouth Sailing Academy for the wedding reception where more fun was in store! After some mingling and the wedding breakfast it was time for some fabulous speeches that were quite brilliant and heartfelt.

After a re-arranged first dance we managed to sneak away back up to the olympic rings by portland heights for some sneaky sunset photos. Here’s one of my favourites. I look forward to your thoughts and comments below and I can’t wait to edit the rest of them now!

River Cottage wedding photographer – A delicious treat

I was lucky enough to photograph a wedding a the epic River Cottage, this is right on the devon and dorset border. The weather was about a bazillion degrees. This means it was really really warm 🙂 The whole day was amazing, with some great people, a wonderful bride and groom and a wonderful Timmy for having me along.

I could happily shoot all my weddings at River cottage, they were so friendly, the food was AMAZING (as you’d expect) and we were all very well looked after.
