Weddings at Poole Guildhall : Relaxed and informal wedding – Roxanne and Schubert

I love Weddings at Poole Guildhall. Especially such a relaxed and informal one as this a fun wedding starting at Poole Guildhall and then off to moors valley country park. I started with the groom at the pub opposite Poole Guildhall whilst Tim was with the bride photographing her getting ready. The light is so lovely at Poole Guildhall and I took the opportunity second shooting with Tim again to use manual focus lenses exclusively at this wedding. I recognised several people at this wedding from others we’ve shot together. Everyone is such a great laugh and relaxed. The bride looked amazing walking up the steps of the guildhall with her myriad of bridesmaids. Just before going into the ceremony I did a quick portrait of her with her dad the last time as a single lady.

After a great service it was time for some informal relaxing before the evening reception at Moors Valley. We met up with Roxanne and Schubert to do some portraits in the woods before the evening reception started.

Technical background for the photos

For those interested I was using my Sony A7S, and Panasonic GH4. Lenses I used was a Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 lens, a Voightlander 25mm f/0.95 and a canon 135mm f/2.5 FD lens too for more telephoto photos. I’ve been using manual focus lenses for a while and it’s quite fun to use fully manual lenses and I think it adds some real character to the photos.
