Wedding Photography by Candlelight
Being a wedding photographer in weymouth is fun. I get to travel to places like the Isle of Wight, and all over Dorset, Devon and other places too. It can also be a challenge technically as unlike some other genres of photography you are often not in control of what is happening. In fact the way I work I wouldn’t step in to alter something unless someone was going to get hurt 🙂 Wedding couples sometimes ask me to photograph in light so low that it’s only 1 candle power. This is the case with things like candle lit receptions, in castles, and chinese lantern launches. For this you have to be of steady hand and have the right equipment to get the pictures you’re looking for. The key is to wait and to capture the right moment (or sequence in this case).

Here is a recent wedding with the bride and groom holding their lantern ready to set it on the way and make a wish on their wedding day, and I was in a great position to get the light catching on their faces full of concentration.
