Langton Arms Wedding Photography – Ruth and Ian
Ruth and Ians wedding day started with me arriving at the Langton Arms (my old local watering hole as it happens) with me photographing Ian getting ready whilst my good friend Tim was photographing the bride (he was the main shooter). After a short delay of waiting for one of the ushers it was off to Kingston Lacy church for a great service. I’ve been to Kingston Lacy church before for a christening so it was nice to know the terrain and although the weather was a little blustery and the church a little hidden everyone managed to find it without too much trouble! After some very keen ushers who were getting further and further down the path in order to give away the bubbles to arriving guests it was Ruth who arrived ahead of time! Brides being early is always appreciated especially by the vicars. Contrary to popular belief although tradition may dictate the bride being late I’ve witnessed several stressed registrars and vicars who’ve had another wedding/engagement to go to and been on the verge of cancelling the wedding (note to brides: 5 minutes is fine… 45 minutes is pushing it 🙂 )
After the service it was some formal photographs that Tim took care of leaving me free to do my usual candid photos of people just being themselves. Then it was back to the Langton arms for the wedding breakfast, the food is always superb at the langton arms and this time was no different. You can see the full menu at the Langton arms here. There were some great heartfelt speeches and even a birthday cake presentation. Congratulations to you both!
