Cumberland Hotel Bournemouth Wedding Photographer – Leonie and Marc

The day started off at the Hotel Du Vin in Poole (great hotel) with Leonie getting ready, and despite a little bit of rain we managed to get some fabulous photographs of Leonie and her bridesmaids getting ready. After a few pictures with umbrellas (it had started to rain a little bit) it was time to head to Lytchett Minster Church for the ceremony.

Again a beautiful service and some lovely vows. Churches make great locations for weddings and I always look forward to photographing at my local churches. From the church we stopped off at Bournemouth beach for some photographs of Leonie and Marc as man and wife. I love stopping off in between the ceremony and the wedding reception as it gives us some time to get some awesome wedding portraits but doesn’t take too much time up either.

The wedding reception was at the art deco Cumberland Hotel in Bournemouth, not too far a journey from poole in miles but one that can take a while depending on traffic. We had no such issues though with glorious sunshine greeting us on our arrival at the hotel.

This is only the start of the fun though – we had some great characters who you can see from the photos had laughs often! We had an awesome wedding breakfast (I had an equally awesome wedding photographer bacon burger – fuel of champions!) then we had some brilliant entertainment in the form of a blues brothers tribute act making Marc and his men do some amusing dancing. Fair play to Marc though he did a brilliant job. Of course there was also a first dance thrown in there and lots of people up for a party. It was a fantastic day and I’m often back at the cumberland hotel. What a brilliant wedding and congratulations to Mr and Mrs Marc Chacksfield – may you have many many happy years of marriage together.
