Charlie and Emma's Wedding Photography at the Crown Hotel Blandford

Charlie and Emma got married at the Crown Hotel Blandford. A glorious May wedding with sunshine was perfect for my good friends Emma and Charlie. It was a brilliant day that started with me seeing Emma getting ready in the Crown hotel. And her crazy bridesmaids messing about in the bath (not filled with water). There was an awesome cake made by Emma and a wonderful wedding dress too. I really loved this DIY style wedding. Emma and Charlie has spent a lot time and thought to get things exactly how they wanted using friends to help out.

A wonderful ceremony in the Sealy Suite as usual with the superb registrars. Always a pleasure to shoot a wedding at the Crown. After the ceremony it was out into the gardens for some celebrations and food. I then sneaked Emma and Charlie away for some photos by the meadows nearby, we came back after 10 minutes so that they didn’t miss any time with their guests though. It was then wedding breakfast time and some great speeches with only minimal heckling from the guests 🙂 I was lucky enough to be seated at a table so I got to sample some of the fab food and talk to the guests too (this isn’t a requirement of mine, but, I do like being sociable too).

Then it was the break between the wedding breakfast and the evening do. This is always a great time to get pictures of people as they are super relaxed by this stage and used to a photographer being there.

I’d got my lights setup for the evening and I even managed to supply an XLR cable for the DJ who’d forgotten his too. With some tunes playing it was time for some first dance magic and then time to dance the night away.
