Canford School Bournemouth Wedding Photographer – James and Sarah

I’ve been lucky enough to shoot several weddings at Canford School now and each one is unique and special. This one saw me assisting the awesome tim churchill again. I used this opportunity to try out a new camera and lens. Namely the Canon 5d mark 3 and sigma 120-300 f/2.8 OS HSM EX uber awesome telephoto lens. Now this isn’t a lens that you’d normally associate with wedding photography and I’d normally use 100mm as my longest lens, but, the advantage of second shooting is that you can try out different things and see if they work. Well this did work and work well. Take a look at the photographs and the bokeh and image quality is outstanding. It also meant that I could be even more unobtrusive and out of the way compared to normal so i was like a ninja barely noticed at the wedding. Apart from the guy with the masshoove lens!

I met James at Canford school with his 2 groomsmen and best man (well actually one was late so there was only 3 of them). Amazingly although I was over an hour early the bridesmaids turned up shortly thereafter meaning the bridesmaids were there before all the groomsmen. Though this is not unique it’s not common. Not long after the Beautiful Sarah arrived in a gorgeous vintage rolls royce. I Love photographing weddings at Canford school as everyone is so relaxed, the grounds are awesome, the inside is awesome. There are so many photographic opportunities it’s a wedding photographers dream!

After a great ceremony it was outdoors for drinks and to enjoy the sunny weather (we’re actually having a summer!) before back inside for speeches and cake cutting.
