Cams Hall Hampshire Wedding Photographer – Amy and Chris
I Love Cams Hall in Hampshire for Wedding Photography. When Amy and Chris told me they were getting married here I was excited. The staff are awesome, the photography possible as Cams Hall is great with so many locations available there (I’ve still not photographed everywhere possible there yet! I can’t wait to go back to Cams Hall to use some more of the locations! Anyway back to Amy and Chris. You may remember their engagement shoot in Dorset at the Studio I’d been looking forward to this wedding for a while, especially as I’d photographed Stephanie and Richards Wedding (Chris’s Brother) a while back at the Hilton Hotel in Portsmouth. It was great to see everyone again at the wedding too.
The day started with Amy and her entourage of Bridesmaids at her parents house (her dad mentioned something about having to move to a smaller house in Hampshire). Then I raced ahead to get to Cams Hall and meet with Chris and the guests. It was such a beautiful day! A proper English summer’s wedding day. It was brilliant. I got on with doing some reportage and candid photography of Chris and his best man together with his guests. Then Amy arrived in a georgous vintage car! It was awesome! Oh an I haven’t even mentioned the astounding red route master bus that had Amy and Chris wedding detail on it (you’ll see this later :)). It really was a wedding photographers dream (though I expect it was organised for Amy and Chris rather than for me, but, thanks all the same guys. Everyone made me feel so welcome and there were so many special photographic moments throughout the day. Lots of fun formal photographs, some awesome portraits of Amy and Chris in and around Cams Hall and together with the vintage racing green MG. Amy had an amazing dress and veil too which always makes for special wedding images, especially when you have a nimble assistant (and groom!). This is a good time to thank my assistant for the day Anne Laymont – thanks so much for your help and company on the day – much appreciated. I almost didn’t want to leave Cams Hall but after a final few photographs then I decided we should meet the rest of the wedding party at HMS Collingwood in Portsmouth.
At HMS Collingwood I was greeted by lots of relaxed guests who cheered as Amy and Chris cooly walked in. Before I knew it the speeches were starting (after an awesome main course – thanks again guys for sorting that out for me). The speeches were brilliant, from the funny (if a little long) speech of the father of the bride, to Chris’s from the heart speech and to the hilarious and also slightly sentimental at the end speech from the Best man ( wedding photography gold for me of course ). Then it was time for some more mingling and reportage and documentary photography before Amy threw the bouquet. Finally it was first dance. I don’t know how so much fitted into one perfect wedding day! It was great and an honour to be involved in it though! and best of all there was an stupendous hog-roast to finish with (I love bacon and hog roasts – so if you are getting married and want to hire me mention hog-roast and bacon to me 🙂 ).
Wow what a day! and now for some photographs of the wedding for you to see what I’ve been going on about!
