Albert Cottage – Isle of Wight Wedding Photography – Naomi and David

I love a good wedding overseas. Being based in Dorset and the Isle of Portland it’s nice to get out of the shire and to foreign climes. I even saw my good friend on the ferry doing a charity cycle (long story). I knew that Naomi and David’s wedding was going to be awesome as they are both awesome too! So friendly and we had a great time on our pre wedding shoot. The day started properly when I did some photos at the church where I met the florists and did some panoramas outside the Holy Trinity church. I then went onto see Naomi at home where Jo was finishing the makeup. Everything looked awesome. The sun was shining. I got about photographing the details of the wedding and soon Naomi was ready and her bridesmaids crying at how beautiful she looked. Mission accomplished. The church service was over in a flash and we were outside with confetti and people everywhere.

As I often like to do we then went off and did some portraits on the nearby beach before making our way to Albert Cottage. It was awesome to be at the beach and it proves that cameras still work after a bit of pesky sand 🙂

We did a couple more pictures at the cottage with the wedding cars before heading inside for canapes and a few select formal fun photographs and a few more portraits. I even used some 35mm film for some portraits (ask me if you’re interested in this). The weather was amazing for April and I got chatting to loads of the guests and the staff at albert cottage too. The food there is super good too. There was scones, cider and an awesome looking wedding cake.

After some top speeches it was cake cutting on the wobbly dance floor and some dancing with an awesome band which everyone loved judging by the amount of dancing.. then like mana from heaven out came the bacon sandwiches. As is often written into my contract now bacon or a hogroast is required for my attendance.. though sometimes this is a kebab fuelled mission as often as bacon fuelled. Either way it was a superb way to end the night before racing back to the last ferry for the journey back to the mainland and back to the shire on the isle of Portland.
