Darren and Soph’s Southampton Wedding at the Bowlers Golf Club
This weekend saw me in Southampton to photograph Darren and Sophs wedding. There were mini’s (proper old ones not these new rubbish ones) hail, sunshine, a huge church, a golf course and 2 nations joining together. Darren is Scottish and Soph is south Vietnamese by birth. Darren is a keen cyclist and Soph is into her track and field athletics so we have some great fun! In fact the whole day was a fun packed International wedding extravaganza! I’ve known darren for a few nears now, we first met doing some s-t-r-o-b-i-s-t photography meets in various places round southampton such as the old town hall and the aviation museum too. So I was delighted to be asked to photograph his wedding! Despite us having sun all week the weekend managed to forecast heavy rain. Although there were times of heavy showers there were ample breaks in the weather to get some awesome images, in some of them we even used the weather to our advantage.
I’m going to leave you with this photograph from their wedding day taken underneath the giant oak tree at Bowlers Golf Club in between rain showers. Despite the wind and rain everyone had a fabulous time and thanks to Bill from Bowlers for looking after us all so well! Have a great time in France guys and I’ll see you when you get back!
