Roy and Natasha – Weddings at The Old Vicarage Christchurch
Roy and Natasha are both awesome. Fact! I had such a blast photographing their wedding at the old vicarage. In fact I was joint last to leave the wedding with them both at the end of the day. This is an indication of just how awesome this wedding was! You can see how the inside of the venues looked by looking at the sneak peek here. The day started quietly at Natasha’s parents near southampton where she was getting ready (I was later to meet the hairdresser as a guest at another wedding in blandford. Everything went really well here with everyone being ready in plenty of time to get to the church. However this wasn’t the same of Roy who managed to arrive 5 minutes late for his own wedding which was rather impressive indeed. So Well done Roy you win the latest groom award of the year 🙂
On to the old vicarage for the reception
After some formal groups at the church and some candid pictures of all the kids having fun it was time to head off to the old vicarage for some food and a most delicous bbq. Again the award for most delicous bbq food goes to the chef at the old vicarage, well done – I can bring you off a certificate if you’d like? In between this I had the pleasure to photograph Natasha and Roy in some bluebell woods (photos later) and also in the brilliant grounds of the old vicarage. I’d also been sat on a table with the rowdy guests one of whom was rehearsing for a play. This was ace, after lots of good conversation and awesome wedding photos it was time for the speeches. The speeches were to the point, from the heart and very good indeed.
By now the evening guests were starting to arrive and the DJ was setup ready for first dance. I did my magic and then continued to enjoy the chilled our and relaxed atmosphere from this wedding. All too soon all the guests had gone home an I was left with just Roy and Natasha. During the darkness we also managed to sneak out and do some portraits in the gardens in the dark, using my mastery of lighting techniques I got some superb images which you can see if you scroll down. What a great day, great people, great venue. Let the good times roll as they say.
Some of my favourites from Roy and Natasha’s old vicarage wedding
Here’s a selection of my favourites from the wedding, starting with getting ready in Southampton through to the ceremony in the new forest near exbury and then the wedding reception and breakfast at the old vicarage.
