Lulworth Castle Wedding Photographer – Nicky and Andrew
Lulworth Castle is situated in rural Dorset and is a stunning venue. I’ve photographed weddings here before. Nicky and Andrew (Lofty) both made me feel so welcome and it was an honour to be asked to photograph their wedding. They are both such great warm people. Remember that big fiery ball in the sky? You might remember the sun? it made an appearance for the whole day for Nicky and Andrew.
We started off and the Springfield hotel – no Homer Simpson here though. Andrew had an awesome wedding ring. It was black.. not carbon fibre either.
The ceremony was at Lulworth Castle, it’s a great wedding venue, and I love going back there. It’s such a light venue and the ceremony was over in a flash with a very emotional Nicky. Then everyone went out onto the lawn for games, drinks and fun! Soon people were being called back into the hall for the wedding breakfast. The room had been awesome decorated and there was a brilliant white chocolate cake courtesy of choccywoccydoodah (more on this later), it looked fabulous with some brilliant touches.
I used this time to download some images taken so far and have a little break and some food, thanks to the Nicky and Andrew and the staff at Lulworth castle for sorting me out with some delicious food.
Before I knew it the speeches were underway. Some very heartfelt speeches with Nicky giving a short speech too, some of the best I’ve heard in a while too. Next was the cake cutting, here is where we had an interesting occurance, after the cake had been cut it made a leap for freedom and hit the wall of the castle (which was just about OK). After a stunned silence both Nicky and Andrew saw the funny side and the partying continued.
I’m assured that the first dance didn’t involve any dance lessons, but, all I will say is that it was very smooth 🙂
What a day! Thanks so much to Andrew and Nicky for letting me photograph your wedding and your wedding gallery is now live 🙂
and finally here’s a photo of me taken by a mystery guest 🙂
