Hill Place Wedding Photographer – Ben and Hannah – A Country wedding
Hill Place in Swanmore near Winchester is a great wedding Venue – and when Ben and Hannah asked me to photograph their wedding here I knew that it was going to be brilliant. Ben and Hannah are both awesome people and after we’d done our engagement shoot I realised how much fun we were going to have on their wedding day. I wasn’t to be disappointed. This was a wedding that summer was made for. Hill place is opulent inside and very light with lots of areas for photographs. The owners are lovely too! The gardens are lush and the whole place is just such a pleasure to work at. Ben and Hannah had spent a lot of time and effort to make their wedding their own. Bunting with their own photos on it. A very lovely table plan, so much attention to detail.
Ben is a photographer himself so it was an honour to be chosen in the first place. After swinging on rope swings in the engagement shoot I knew Ben and Hannah would both be up for a laugh too. Ben had set-up a photo booth but had forgotten a memory card – luckily I have spares so that was no drama to lend him one. From what I saw there were some rather amusing photos that he has from that!
I started off photographing Hannah at Hill place, where she was getting ready, we took the dress for a little wander including some dramatic hanging on the staircases. Then is was off to the lovely church to photograph Ben and his ushers. Ben is very comfortable in front of the camera too so we had a bit of a laugh. Hannah arrived looking beautiful in her dress and walked up the lane to the church. After the service there was Herbie the beetle (from the movies!) to take Ben and Hannah back to Hill Place. Together with a vintage VW Camper van.
The whole day was so relaxed and the weather so warm and summery it was just a wonderful wonderful day. Some of Ben and Hannah’s friends played in a band in the evening which everyone danced to outside in the garden, enjoying drinks and just having such a relaxing time. This was the perfect day in so many ways. Congratulations Ben and Hannah and I’ve finally blogged your wedding even though it might be a little bit behind schedule
