Bride and Groom Portraits – Weymouth Wedding Photographer

Bride and Groom Portraits – Weymouth Wedding Photographer

When asked to descibe my wedding photography style I would say it is a fusion of many styles including reportage, documentary with some fine art and fun thrown in. The reason for this is that pure reportage or documentary photography captures the day as it unfolds with no interference at all. I sometimes work in this way, and in fact this most closely describes how I work. However I also like to offer some formal photography to capture who was at the wedding (not too many though) so will take a few group photographs during the normal course of a wedding (If you would like a pure documentary wedding I am of course happy to work in this fashion too).

Why have bride and groom portraits?

I also think that most people would like some pictures of themselves together. A bride and groom are dressed up, looking a million dollars and I think it would be a shame not to get a picture of the 2 of you together. Unless some time is made for bride and groom portraits then often (ironically) the bride and groom are seperated most of the day whilst they go off and greet people, family and friends whom they know… rarely have I seen a bride and groom go round mingling as a couple. This maybe strange when you think that a couple have just got married but it’s what happens.

Where is best for our bride and groom portraits

Anywhere you like! If you’re getting married near a superb landmark or by the sea then those always make great locations… but sometimes just by a bar shutters can be made to look fabulous. If you’d like some bride and groom portraits at another location that isn’t possible on your wedding day then I offer post wedding shoots (sometimes called trash the dress photoshoots) where we can do some portraits with a much more relaxed timescale.

We want to see our guests not have 10,000,000 wedding photos done

Thats perfect with how I work. I like to get you both alone for a few minutes to get those awesome wedding portraits but have you back with your guests (after all you are paying a lot of money for them to be there!)

If you’re getting married and my way of photographing a wedding and my pictures are what you’re looking for then please get in touch!
