Nikon D3X Arrives - low iso quality

By greg - Posted on 26 May 2009

I got my Nikon D3X from nikon late last week (in time to use for the wedding photography at Beechfield house).

I did some testing on the Thursday and Friday - including going out to Bournemouth and shooting off some frames at lower ISO on a tripod to compare with my Canon 1DS3. Interestingly the metering gave slightly different exposures - but the quality was very similar. My feeling is that we're at about the stage where we don't want to go for any more megapixels on full frame - especially as these were with both manufacturers highest quality zooms (Canon EF 24-70/2.8 L and Nikkor 24-70 AF-S)

Take look for yourself here:

D3X first, then 1DS3
