Baby Photography - not in Dorset and not a baby session
I went up to see my folks recently - it's nice to catch up and as the eldest of three children myself it's nice to catch up with my 2 sisters, and 2 step-brothers, all of whom have their own children. My Stepbrother and his partner Lucy have twins! (or double trouble - nothing to do with the jean-claude-van-damne film BTW).
Now I had really not planned to do any family photography other than a few informal snaps - in fact i didn't realise that when i arrived there would be a houseful of not only people but babies and children.
So luckily I had Su's awesome cobwebknits baby hats in the car (which everyone loves btw sue! so expect some christmas pud orders coming your way!)
So we played around a little bit, nothing too serious, just some fun family times - can't wait to send some prints up to them!
So here are a selection from the

double trouble (they are actually twins!)

of course it wouldn't be a baby shoot with TP Photography and me Greg - without a foot shot (LOVE baby feet and hands and limbs)

Canford School Wedding Photography - sneak peek
I love second shooting a wedding, it lets me let my hair down.. what i have of it. I second shot a wedding with McClure Photography recently at the super awesome wedding venue of Canford school. Well worth you checking out if you're looking for a grand venue for your wedding.
After the poor weather from the last few weeks I was glad that the weather was blue skies and sunny... erm... sun! :)
Anyway here are a couple of images from the wedding day with the lovely bride and groom in, with the rest to follow in the fullness of time.
Love to hear your comments and thoughts via the blog below.

HighCliffe Castle, Christchurch Wedding engagement photography photoshoot - sneak peek - Richard and Stephanie
After last weeks weather I was amazed to see big blue skys and hot weather for today's engagement shoot at Highcliffe castle, I'd spoken with Richard earlier in the week and we'd decided to go ahead whatever the weather. So all in all it was good that I booked amazing skies and great weather! :)
As I type this Richard will be enjoying the musical he was looking forward to going to so much to this afternoon. :) :)
So I thought I'd do a quick sneak peek from todays photography shoot so he has even more to look forward to!
First up we didn't lose the engagement ring - thanks to Stephanie in particular for letting me do this one!
and thanks to Richard for his super neat "Marry Me?" writing in the sand (was also useful for the earlier ring shot :) ) and also for getting down on one knee once again.
You were both great fun and I can't wait to process the rest of the photos from today, was so much fun and I can see some more awesome photos in there already! This was both a relaxed and super fun shoot to do - so i really can't wait for your wedding day!
I offer pre-wedding/engagement photography to all my wedding couples - it's a great way to get rid of those nerves and you get some absolutely awesome and amazing photos of you both before the big day!
Kingston Maurward - a wet wedding to remember for Lucy and Richard - sneak peek
The wedding of Richard and Lucy was one i'd been looking forward to with some joy for a while, it saw me back at Kingston Maurward which I love, it's an awesome location and has some amazing views.
Of course before this there was the small matter of the marriage itself, this took place in the wonderfully named hamlet called wool. The church was the HollyRood Church, i like that churches have websites now.
Lucy and Richard were so great on the day - which despite the rain everyone had a great time, we did some bride and groom portraits inside and then when the weather cleared up Richard and Lucy dragged me outside for more photos. (I like it when my bride and groom drag me off for more photos)
Thanks to Claire Sloane for assisting/second shooting on the day.
So here's a sneak peek from both those sessions (one from inside snd one from outside).
Horse Photography in Dorset
A bride to be has horses. I like taking photographs, and horses are a great subject for photographs, so I popped along and was overwhelmed by these amazing creatures. Unbelievably they didn't follow my directions, but, I had lots of fun running around a field taking thier photos, here's a selection of the images taken

Christchurch Harbour Hotel wedding photography - a Tatooist wedding - part three
this is the final part of the trilogy of the christchurch harbour hotel wedding I second shot with tim churchill.
Christchurch Harbour Hotel Part 1
Christchurch Harbour Hotel Part 2
by now it was time for the evening reception... where there were a few guitars that even I recognised the name of:

then the bride was getting some help with her dress ready for the first dance

with a mini army of bridesmaids to help

with the DJ warming up

and the wine now in full flow..

and whats a party without some silly faces from the bridesmaids?

and some more partying

but before tha first dance we sneaked Emma and Tom off for some more photos (these were ones I took from the side whilst Tim was shooting from another angle - another great thing about being second shooter.

then the band were almost ready for first dance action

and then the first dance started as if by magic

with some fabulous dance moves

which the guests seemed to be impressed with

and finished off with some impromptu garter meets teeth action.
what a fabulous day and thanks to Tim for having me along - it was immense as always!
Christchurch Harbour Hotel wedding photography - a Tatooist wedding - part two
the wedding after dinner speeches began and they went down very well.

after the speeches it was time for the tequilla shots :)

and the lemon!

and I loooove chocolate cake... so couldn't help this one...

by this time Tom thought he would carry emma over the threshold - at least that's what i think it is he was doing

followed by the obligatory attacking of husband during the cutting of the cake (I like the non-plussed elderly relative in this one - move along nothing to see here)

and the bridesmaid was most animated at this point.

stay tuned for more action in part 3 (the final part of the trilogy)
Christchurch Harbour Hotel wedding photography - a Tatooist wedding - part one
I recently shot a wedding with the awesome
So I started with a nice atmospheric image of the hotel.

And then found the rings on the table ready to be photographed.

The best man then ruffled the grooms tie...

The lovely emma was by then on her way to get married...

where she waited outside ready to get married...

and then she walked into the room...

People were very much relaxed and at ease after the wedding ceremony.

i'll leave this one to your own imagination...

the bride can have a nice chat with her guests

sometimes little girls have to relax wherever they can.

we can see here that sometimes being a relaxed unobtrusive wedding photographer based in dorset means that people still see you taking their photo.

one of the wedding guests wondered what was going on over there...

stay tuned for part 2 of this christchurch harbour hotel wedding...

Southampton Baby Photographer - newborn photographer
As part of my ongoing relationship with couples after they are married I was delighted to photography a couple whom i'd photographed when they chose me as their wedding photographer. They got married in the new forest and it was a fabulous summers day!
A couple of years later and they now have a little bundle of joy! Jessica was still very much a newborn and a right little cutie she is already!
I love photographing babies - though I have to confess is does make me a little broody.... I'll see you in six months for the next part of her photoshoot.
Thanks again to Su at Cobwebknits for the loan of the hats! Can't wait to use the slings :)
Sandbanks, Poole Wedding Photography - sneak peek
Today saw me at the Jazz Cafe by the beach for Sarah and Ally's dedication ceremony. What a fabulous day it turned out to be. Sarah was wearing an awesome red wedding dress and Ally traditional Scottish wedding attire (a kilt! :) ). On this their wedding day we were blessed with not only a rainbow, but, a great sunset too! So instead of one sneak peek of their wedding photographs you get 2 (as I couldn't choose between them!)
Awesome wedding photography - even if i say so myself!
FOR Photographers: How to view and fire photos remotely.... ipad / iphone / webbrowser
This is a bit of a technical artical for other photographers, not really a wedding post :)
Now there are various ways to download images from your camera to your laptop and get them on your ipad/iphone favourite device.
What if there was a way to view them wirelessly without having to download them... or even better trigger your camera remotely and instantly see the picture?
Well with a Canon 1DS Mark 3 and a canon WFT-E2 wireless transmitter this is possible.
Once you're all connected up all you need to do is find out the IP address of your camera (this can be autoassigned by your wireless router (as seen here).
You can now browse the memory cards OR fire the camera remotely. Handy if you want to have the camera setup somewhere and fire it from another location. Think - wedding, event, expensive baby monitor or whatever.
Here's what the remote triggering web page looks like - you even get a preview in the page of the image just taken!

Bournemouth Wedding Photography {Langtry Manor Wedding} - Graham and Natalie - Part 3

then it was time for the first dance

and the wedding party went on into the night with some more dancing
